Hello! I’m Kegan, a therapist in the Kansas City area! Seeking mental health services can feel intimidating, especially if this is your first time. Because of this, I walk all of my clients through what the process looks like and approach therapy as a collaborative effort. I know what it’s like to be on the client side of things since I, myself, have benefitted from therapy and counseling in my own mental health journey. Therefore, I truly have my clients and their comfort/safety in mind when we start the therapeutic process. I am truly passionate about what I do and would love to chat more to see if my services would be a good fit for you.
Call 913-890-3209 today to ask about my mental health services. I provide in-person sessions in the Leawood, Overland Park and Kansas City areas and also offer virtual sessions for anyone in the state of Kansas.

Let’s cut to the chase–it’s stressful to feel like you aren’t where you want to be, and even more so when you don’t know what steps to take to get unstuck. You’ve tried the breathing exercises and the self-care days, but you need more. That is where I come in.
I work with adult women, in their 20’s and 30’s, experiencing chronic stress, who feel like they are just floating/surviving through life. The goal is to thrive, but it just feels too far away.
Here are some signs that you may be experiencing chronic stress:
You notice physical symptoms like muscle tension and/or pain
You find yourself sick more often than not. You can tell your immune system is just not functioning the way that it’s meant to.
You feel a lack of control when it comes to your life and your emotions
You have past traumas that you feel like you’ve had to sweep under the rug so that you can continue to function throughout your days.
You feel like you are surviving instead of thriving.
Clients come to me when they are feeling disconnected from themselves, from others, or from life itself. I help my clients lay the foundation they need to build a life they can be proud of by teaching helpful coping skills, processing traumas or stressors that feel like they are blocking clients from progress, and helping them steadily reconnect with themselves and the world around them.
Here’s what you can expect from working with me:
I want to work with you, not for you. My approach is collaborative for very good reason. You know yourself better than anyone else, therefore, your voice holds precious space in my office. By working with my clients, I am then able to create a treatment plan that is individualized to each of them.
With that, I take a more holistic approach in my counseling. I understand that the brain, the body, and the environment do not individually exist in a bubble and naturally interact and affect one another. Therefore, I pull from a number of therapy modalities to provide the most effective individualized treatment for my clients. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help my clients build the skills they need to feel regulated, IFS/Parts work and EMDR to help my clients process through past traumas, and Ecotherapy and Somatic Experiencing to help my clients connect with their environment and their nervous system.
